The Main Sanctuary of First Church is a grand contemporary cathedral built in the Spanish Neo-Gothic style. It is a unique building that gives our Sanctuary Worship a true sense of the greatness of the glory of God. Our worship features music from the largest pipe organ in San Diego along with magnificent choral music that will lift the spirit as part of our historic worship experience rooted in the Methodist Tradition.
Holy Communion is celebrated each week at our 8 AM worship service and monthly at our 9:30 and 11 AM services. Our communion is an "open communion", welcoming all who love Christ, repent of their sin, and seek to live in peace with one another.
The Weekly Messages are engaging and practical to everyday living. Pastor Craig’s preaching style is relaxed and challenging while focusing on the authority of Scripture and the presence of the Holy Spirit in our daily lives.
