Join the Chancel Choir!
This 100-plus-member choir performs a a wide variety of music. From sacred traditional anthems by famous composers to music hot off the press. The choir is joined by professional section leaders and often accompanied by musicians playing flutes, brass, and percussion instruments as well as piano and organ.

- Do I have to audition to join the Chancel Choir?
No audition required, but you should be able to read music. - Do I have to be a member of First Church?
No church membership is required to join the choir. - When are the rehearsals?
Weekly rehearsals on Thursdays, 7–9 PM, and Sundays, 8:15–9 AM, in the Music Center (Campus map). - How can I join?
Register at 6:50 PM on Thursday, just prior to the rehearsal, or email Dr. Stan Wicks to register for the 8:15 AM Sunday rehearsal. - How soon may I start to perform?
Before performing you will need to attend two rehearsals. - How often does the choir perform?
The Chancel Choir sings every Sunday, 10 months/year. - Does the choir perform at all services?
The choir members sing at all three services and are encouraged to participate in at least two services. - How much does it cost?
There is no cost to join the choir. - Where can I get the music?
