Historical Lynching in America

Monday, September 16, 2019, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Location: First United Methodist Church of San Diego, 2111 Camino del Rio South, San Diego, CA US 92108

Room: Linder Hall 4

Lynching played a compelling role in American history. The full impact and implications of this brutal practice transcends time and affects every American, regardless to race, gender, ethnic background. Before we can move forward with reconciliation, healing and ministry to all, we must understand, acknowledge and accept the reality of the vestiges of our history.

Dr. Andre Branch, the Past President of the San Diego Chapter of the NAACP, is a Professor at San Diego State University. He has been a guest speaker at St. Paul's UMC multiple times and continues to deliver potent messages.

This is a tough topic that we all want to avoid. However, this session will be one of the most rewarding and liberating events you have ever attended! Let's all be blessed together! We look forward to seeing you there!
